Ca’ Rugate Wine Museum

A book by Andrea Ciresola.

In an era in which agriculture seems to have lost its orientation, what with climate changes, soil losing its lifeblood, globalisation of the market, scientific research heading more in the direction of large industry than towards safeguarding the environment and human life, the Tessari family wants to draw our attention to the oldest of human activities, cultivating the land as a source of food and not as a means of gaining wealth…Nicola Frasson, Slow Food.

This is the preface of the book Enomuseo Ca' Rugate by Andrea Ciresola, a conservationist and restorer of art, to whom the Tessari family entrusted the creation, in 2006, of a Museum centred on wine and farming life, to be the tangible record of the Soave territory and its history. The project is described in the pages of this book and within the walls of a house in the country, the heart of the museum itinerary.

The book- the culmination of two years’ work which includes the restoration of some of the items belonging to the family and the design and creation of an exhibition space to contain it all – is a guide through the Museum, providing high quality pictures, sketches and detailed descriptions.
