EDUCATIONAL AND SOCIAL FARM
A timeless journey, through history, nature, and sustainability.
A landscape to walk through
Monteforte d’Alpone, in the Monte Fiorentine area: land that has always been dedicated to growing centuries-old vineyards, where a rare microclimate preserves a biodiversity that seems untouched by time.
Here, surrounded by fresh air, wind, and precious silence, Ca’ Rugate and the Tessari family have created a Narrative-Educational Path: an experiential journey that unfolds through thematic stops. An invitation to let yourself be carried through the landscape, stop by stop.
Every corner tells the deep connection between people, nature, and land
Walking through its wide spaces, the Farm reveals itself to those who take their time.
Turtles, peacocks, pheasants, geese, and bees inhabit these places as part of an ancient balance. The bio-lake presents itself as a small, perfect example of a natural ecosystem; the centuries-old fruit trees, many of which are Slow Food presidia, preserve varieties that time had almost forgotten, while the medicinal herbs cultivated in our fields find new life in Vermouth of Amarone.
“We believe that bringing Nature close to man allows us to remember or get to know forms, scents and sensations that represent our most authentic essence, so far removed from our daily lives and so close to our souls.”

The Educational Farm
“Learning means discovering. With your eyes, with your hands, with your heart.”
Since 2019, Ca’ Rugate has been recognized as an Educational Farm by the Veneto Region: a privilege we renew every year by welcoming schools, families, groups, and visitors of all ages, with the aim of bringing people closer to the world of organic farming, biodiversity, and sustainability.
We work with the entire education community: daycares, kindergartens, primary and secondary schools, technical and professional institutes, ITS, universities, and training organizations. Every program is tailor-made, adjusted to the age of the participants and the educational goals, so that every visit is truly significant.
Half-day or full-day guided tours, creative and scientific workshops, sensory activities, educational games, animated stories for the little ones. For those who want to continue the journey, the experience is enriched with a visit to the Ca’ Rugate Wine Museum, where ancient tools from the farming tradition preserve the history of the Tessari family and the evolution of viticulture. At the end, the Treasure Hunt at Ca’ Rugate Farm wraps up the experience in a small, precious keepsake to take home.
The Social Farm
“Running a business in a sustainable, conscious, and inclusive way is the best way to give back what our land gives us every day.”
Since 2023, Ca’ Rugate has been recognized as a Social Farm in the Veneto Region: the first winery in the region to receive this recognition.
Being a Social Farm means putting agriculture at the service of people: a welcoming place where anyone can have an authentic experience in contact with nature.
We welcome children, teenagers, adults, families, and people with different emotional needs, offering tailored activities that respect everyone’s pace and sensitivities. Through play, hands-on activities, observing animals, and working together, we nurture curiosity, independence, and lasting relationships, also thanks to partnerships with local social cooperatives.
